The flow of your narrative and the strength of the images you position, will help your listener recall what has been said and remember it.<\/p>\r\n<p>As humans we love patterns \u2013 we are pulled to them. Seeing patterns is a natural function of the human brain that helps us learn. The number three is the smallest number of factors, components or aspects that we need to create a pattern.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>What does this have to do with my ability to be a memorable storyteller?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>T<span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">hrees let you shape your story:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>Less than three<\/strong> \u2013 there\u2019s no pattern.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>More than three<\/strong> \u2013 then the skill required to tell the story and the attention needed to understand it, increase for the listener.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>More than three is harder for you as the storyteller and your audience.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indigobusiness.co.uk\/Workshop\/think-on-your-feet\">Think on Your Feet\u00ae<\/a> helps you become a successful storyteller, one who creates clarity, brevity and impact in your stories.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indigobusiness.co.uk\/Workshop\/think-on-your-feet\">Think on Your Feet\u00ae<\/a> uses the technique of \u2018Rule of Three\u2019. It\u2019s scientifically proven, simple in practice and easy to understand. It applies the principle that says people better understand views, situations and ideas when presented in groups of threes.<\/p>\r\n<p>Cambridge University Neurological Researcher Daniel Bor has proven it can work on 3 levels:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Sentences.<\/li>\r\n<li>Situations.<\/li>\r\n<li>Stories.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p style=\"color: #333333; font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">In <\/span><a style=\"font-weight: 300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.indigobusiness.co.uk\/Workshop\/think-on-your-feet\">Think on Your Feet\u00ae<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> we apply the storytelling technique \u2013 \u2018three-act structures\u2019, these are enhanced with different plans which help keep the listener at the forefront of your mind.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Moving your listener in different directions<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Differing plans move the listener in different directions i.e., \u2018Clock Plans\u2019 through a chronological moment in time, \u2018Zoom Plans\u2019 to shift perspectives and \u2018Picture Plans\u2019 to create strong visual impact.<\/p>\r\n<p>Through each plan, we build strong ideas or connecting points, called \u2018Pegs\u2019 \u2013 these help frame your ideas and success is achieved by how you, the storyteller, connect them.<\/p>\r\n<p>This comes through, practice, practice, practice!<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Think on Your Feet\u00ae when storytelling<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"color: #333333;
