Insights Discovery helps people to perform at their highest level by improving their understanding of themselves. This fosters more respectful, productive and positive working relationships – even in hybrid and virtual work settings. It helps them to:

  • Understand their own and others’ communication preferences.
  • Connect better with their colleagues to improve collaboration.
  • Implement a common language to help them overcome challenges and conflict.

They can then easily adapt and connect with others, which leads to workplaces where innovation, creativity and productivity thrive.

 

Who is it for?

Insights Discovery is for anyone who wants to understand themselves and others better, communicate more effectively, build stronger relationships, and be more successful in both personal and professional life – including:

  1. Individuals – anyone who wants to gain insights into their own personality preferences, strengths and potential areas for development.
  2. Teams – who need to improve collaboration, communication and performance. By appeciating each other's preferences and working styles, teams can function more effectively and achieve better results.
  3. Managers and leaders – managers and leaders can adapt their approach in order to motivate, engage and lead more effectively, by understanding their own leadership styles and the preferences of their team members.

Every person has all four colour energies within them, having a natural preference for some over others – these influence their motivations and behaviour. It is the combination of these energies which creates each unique personality.

By recognising and appreciating your own and others’ preferences better, you can take simple, practical actions that improve your everyday relationships.

What’s it all about?

Insights® Discovery uses a simple four-color model, along with a personalised profile and workshop led by licensed practitioners, to help people understand themselves and their colleagues better – inspiring them to think about how they act and communicate.

Each delegate completes an online evaluator. This creates their Insights Discovery Personal Profile, a powerful tool that can be used to resolve conflict, improve communication and help teams see the value of each other’s contribution at work. It provides a common language that makes it easier to identify strengths and address weaknesses, so that individuals and teams can perform at their highest level.

  1. A comprehensive personal profile – tailored specifically to you and based on your responses to the Insights Discovery evaluator. It includes information about your preferred style of communication, decision-making processes, potential strengths and areas where you might face challenges.
  2. Enhanced self-awareness – the profile and workshop helps to enhance your self-awareness. Identifying your own behavioural preferences and how these affect your interactions with others, can lead to more mindful and effective communication.

Duration and delivery methods available

This 1 day workshop can be delivered Face-to-face and online, for groups and teams. The online evaluator needs to be completed at least one week before the workshop date. Delivered by an Insights® Discovery Licenced Practitioner.

After attending the Insights® Discovery workshop, there are a number of further ‘chapters’ available. We combine these with the Insights® Discovery Personal Profiles to address further challenges like effective communication, management styles, sales performance and creating an inspiring work environment. We deliver the following additional options, in addition to the Insights® Discovery workshop:

  • Management Team Effectiveness (1 day workshop) – for a management team to understand themselves to create effectiveness.
  • Team Effectiveness (1 day workshop) – developing an intact, functional project or cross-functional team.
  • Transformational Leadership Effectiveness (1 day workshop) – raises the self-awareness of leaders and takes them on a journey towards maximising their leadership potential.
  • Sales Effectiveness (1 day workshop) – helps sales professionals understand how they can use their unique style to influence their customers, peers and managers – exceeding their potential and forming part of a truly exceptional sales team.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Insights® Discovery can count towards your CPD recognition with leading professional bodies or trade organisations. You can normally record your attendance in the 'organised learning' or 'self-learning' sections. Please check with your membership organisation for more information.

Additional resources

In-House

Our in-house delivery option gives you the flexibility to train teams, groups and departments. Reducing delegate travel, training cost (significant saving when compared to our open public workshops) and environmental impact - as we train at your choice of location or online, in the UK or internationally. Options for tailoring content are available.

Prices quoted are based on 12 delegates per event, we can accommodate up to 20 delegates for an additional fee:

  • Face-to-face classroom workshops - delegates receive a printed workbook/materials.
  • Virtual learning sessions - delivered as highly interactive modular sessions using our Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Webex platforms or your own. Virtual workshops require access to a PC/Mac/tablet and internet connection, a webcam, speakers/headphones and enabled microphone, or attendees can simply dial in on their phone.

    The format will be similar to face-to-face classroom workshops, we always cover a core programme. It is delivered using interactive group learning sessions, lots of practice, group and individual feedback and 1-2-1 trainer coaching. We combine this with screen and document sharing, polls, interactive whiteboards and breakout rooms. Delegates receive access to an online workbook/materials that can be viewed online, downloaded to a portable device or printed. Printed workbooks are available at additional cost.
